This is a beautiful pipe bag on brain tanned hide. Sinew sewn with porcupine quilled medallion on both sides and a quilled panel at the bottom. Probably Mandan or Arikara in origin ca. mid 1900sThe flaps at the top are dyed with ochre and add to the overall color scheme.
